Minalans

I created an elfish tribe called the Minalans. I had a story about the royal family being murdered and overthrown by rebels. The princess, however, survived but lost her memory, she later joined a band of thieves. Somewhere along the story line she learned about her past, and tried rallying her friends to help her reclaim the throne.

1st Blue Sketchbook Ever

This is my first official sketchbook that I can remember. I got it when I was 12-13 years old, when I had recently been introduced to anime and manga. 

Now I feel like I wasted the nice textured paper it has with silly drawings. A few years ago I tried redrawing some of the characters, to compare and see what time had accomplished. I hope to try redrawing them again, 11 years later.

First anime/manga drawings

So, I had just turned 12 years old, and a friend had introduced me to anime and given me my first and only manga volume of Magical Knights Rayearth. I was so captivated by the style since it was so new to me. I immediately started trying to immitate the CLAMP style, and started developing some new characters as well.

This is the very fist sketch of the Moon Genie I later redrew several times.

 This one looks like another character I later developed briefly without coming to any definitive story line.

Graphic Journal

Part of an assignment in high school for art class was to keep a Graphic Journal. I decided to make an entry that explored the meaning and psychology behind the colors. These were the pages I liked the most. I used markers, watercolors, crayolas, and colored pencils for these pages.
